P-Switch^TM® solution has been designed for the smart card business and industry. The P-Switch^TM® is made to fit ultra-thin environment size requirements and adapt to fully automated Pick and Place systems. It is suitable to all card assembling processes with built-in electronics.

The P-Switch^TM® must be pinched simultaneously on both sides. Its use provides an accurate and effective tactile feeling. It also insures the electrical signal integrity and offers a very long life expectancy. The overall P-Switch^TM® thickness meets the card market standards thanks to a preloading at the lamination step of the process.

All technical features of the P-Switch^TM® were determined to meet the specific requirements of smart cards manufacturers: adapted size of 8.5 mm diameter, thickness of 0.5 mm, pinch stroke of 0.34 mm. The P-Switch^TM® has a long life expectancy (5 mio actuations) with an actuation force of 190 gr. The rated voltage can be up to 100 V at a current of 1 A.
